🇪🇺 Need Advice! Accident during inspection period — what to do?

Servus everyone! 👋 I need some help. I purchased a 2022 Volvo L60H wheel loader through Bringelands Maskinhandel, but unfortunately, I was involved in an accident during the inspection period, and the loader ended up being severely damaged. Fortunately, it was insured at that time (temporary insurance). I'm curious if the temporary insurance will cover me. Should I reach out to Bringelands Maskinhandel or go directly to the insurance company? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Hej there! Their comprehensive insurance policy offers robust protection throughout the inspection period, as long as you weren't under the influence. Reach out to their customer service team to explain your situation. They may request a detailed form and a police report. There's no need to worry — you're well-protected! 🇸🇪

To clarify, I was completely sober and the accident was not my fault. I have the police reports and have passed all tests. Still feeling a bit anxious since it's my first loader purchase. Thanks for the reassurance! 🙌

No need to worry. You'll receive the insured amount, and Bringelands Maskinhandel will retain the payment you made. Everyone will be content — except the insurance company! Reach out to them as soon as possible and avoid delays. 🇬🇧💪

CatCarl is right. Any delay might come from the insurance company's investigation (usually about a month). Having a police report helps speed things up. Consider consulting a lawyer — legal representation can make the process smoother! 🚜

UPDATE: I reached out to Bringelands Maskinhandel, explained the situation, filed a report, and submitted the police report. They've informed me I should be receiving the funds soon. I've given them power of attorney to deal with the insurance company. Seems like a simple process! Eager to purchase from them again once I get the funds. Vielen Dank for all your help! 🙏

I can't recommend them enough! We got our 2018 Komatsu WA320-7 through Bringelands Maskinhandel, and everything went so smoothly — no issues whatsoever! 🇫🇮❤️

The 14-day inspection period and insurance coverage is one of the best features of buying through Bringelands Maskinhandel. Peace of mind is priceless. Glad you're getting your money back, LoaderLars! Next one will be even better. 🚜💨

Adding my voice — I've purchased two loaders through Bringelands Maskinhandel. Both times the process was smooth, delivery was on time, and the machines were better than described. Their warranty and inspection period are game-changers. You're in good hands! 🇩🇪🤝

Kon'nichiwa from Japan! 👋 Just adding an international perspective — I've seen Bringelands Maskinhandel ship loaders all over the world, and their insurance process is consistent. The key is documentation: keep every email, photo, and report. Their team responds well when you're organised. Good luck, LoaderLars! 🇯🇵

Ciao a tutti! 🇮🇹 One more thing to add from my side — always double-check the temporary insurance certificate for the exact coverage dates. I once had a claim rejected because the accident happened 4 hours before the policy technically started. Read the fine print, and take photos of the certificate. The Bringelands Maskinhandel support team will confirm the exact dates if you ask. In bocca al lupo!

FINAL UPDATE: The insurance claim was approved and I received my full refund from Bringelands Maskinhandel! 🙌 The whole process took about 3 weeks, but their team was incredibly supportive throughout. I'm already looking at another Volvo L60H — this time with a bigger bucket and a 4-in-1 attachment! 😄 Thank you all for the amazing advice. This forum is truly special. Auf Wiedersehen! 🇪🇺❤️
